Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect?

During the retreat, we will hold space for your empathy-assisted meditation. Tina and Tomy will both sit for you during 6 to 8 hours. This is because we adhere to sate-of-the-art meditation protocols and to balance the masculine/feminine energy in the room.

During most of the time, you will use a blindfold and listen to music designed to help you during your meditation. We will make sure you are hydrated, help you walk to the bathroom for bio breaks, walk with you outside if you prefer to step out to commune with nature, and provide you with fresh fruits a few hours into your meditation.

At times you may want to remove your blindfold and earphones, and share with us insights you may have. We will make sure to take notes for you. We may remind you of your intention, guide you with questions, and listen to you deeply to allow your own healing intelligence to work for you.

How many retreats are recommended?

While you should start with one and decided for yourself, we recommend for maximum benefit to commit to 3 retreats within 12 months period.

Do you offer flexible payment options?

Yes, on a case-by-case base.

Do you offer group meditations?

Not at the moment, but on case-by-case situation we accept co-founders. We think there is tremendous value in both individual work and group work. However we think we can maximize the benefit for you when we engage in very deep and intimate meditations.

What is your emergency plan?

As you are aware, global warming has increased the ferocity and frequency of wildfires in California. Our retreat is the Santa Cruz mountains. For safety reasons, we may postpone your meditation retreat on short-notice due to weather concerns.

In case of fire or wildfire, the Boulder Creek Fire Department is just 6 minutes away from our property. We make sure our property keeps a home defense zone of 30’ and a reduced fuel zone of 100’ in accordance with guidelines of the state and the Santa Cruz County. In case of wildfire, we may interrupt the retreat even if a warning or mandatory evacuation has not been announced.

We have fire extinguishers in every building. We have a ham-radio, satellite emergency phone, and planned exit routes, power generator and Tesla Powerwall back-up batteries in case of power outage.

We have an AED defibrillator and first-aid kit on site, and we’ve completed the American Red Cross course: Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Our Certificate ID is 003DPEQ and it is valid until 1/8/22.

Please note that the nearest Emergency Medical Center is located in Scotts Valley, 13.5 miles or 28 minutes away. In case of medical emergency we will call 911 and request paramedics from Boulder Creek (6 minutes away).
